About Sue Palomba

Sue Palomba

My name is Sue Palomba. I was born in Avellino, Italy, before my parents moved to the United States for better opportunity. We landed in Bronx, New York, and resided there for 6 months until my parents came to Wakefield, Massachusetts, where they fell in love with the beauty of Lake Quannapowitt.

When I was 19, my father suggested that I take the real estate course. My parents’ passion was real estate. They felt that taking a class would be beneficial to me, other than what my passion was--hanging out at the beach! Taking the class introduced me to the world of real estate. Intending to follow that path, I graduated from Merrimack College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business in 1988.

During my college years, I met a wonderful man named Americo and we married in 1989. I am proud to say we have two talented and beautiful daughters, Rosa 27, Melisa 24, and a precious grandson Giovanni, who is almost 1 ½. Through all of this, I pursued a career in real estate. Having such a precious family gave me an understanding of home and property. I could better understand my parents’ journey and the family life they built. They came to America for opportunity. Real estate has allowed me to help others find opportunity, as well.

Sharing people’s dreams by helping them buy their first home, or sell their last, has been very rewarding. Learning what draws people to a home or property is the most important skill a real estate agent can possess. Consumers need all the information a dedicated agent can provide, such as home values, tax rates, and more.

One of my favorite pastimes is participating in community service. It has been my privilege for the past 19 years to serve as a member of the Eastern Middlesex Board, representing 1,100 members on the Benefit Committee and providing support for the Eastern Real Estate Board. In 2009, I participated in Dancing With the Realtors for the benefit of Habitat of Humanity. I danced the foxtrot, waltz, and the swing. This event contributed to building homes in communities for citizens in need. One of my favorite community service activities is calling out bingo numbers for the elderly at the Saugus Senior Center on Wednesday afternoon. Laughing with them and enjoying their company really adds so much fun to my day. I also get to contribute to the Town of Saugus as a member of the Board of Directors for Saugus Cable Television.

My latest volunteer project was becoming an officer at the Saugus-Everett Elks, where I served 986 members. I have been a member for the last nine years. This organization is a non-profit organization benefiting special needs children, education scholarships, and veterans’ needs. Although my year of being an officer is complete, I have recently been appointed to the Board of Directors and look forward to this new experience. I have learned that one person can make a difference in a community.

In this country full of opportunity, and with my strong family foundation, it has been my pleasure to help others achieve long-term home ownership with my fulfilling career in real estate for the last 29 years.
